    • About the Service – Overseas placement agencies may seek assistance of the PESO at the Provincial Government in conducting recruitment activities in the province. The may use the facilities and equipment of the office and may also request for support from the staff. Services offered is free of charge.

    • About the Service – The Provincial Government of Catanduanes thru its PESO assists various placement agencies in conducting the special recruitment activities (SRA), provided that agencies requesting for such activities are POEA licensed and are authorized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). It also monitors the status of worker deployed overseas.

    III. Availing for the services of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO)

    • About the Service – The Provincial Government of Catanduanes supports the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in the Implementation of the program through the Public Employment Services Office (PESO). This was established pursuant to RA 8759 otherwise known as the PESO Act of 1999.

    III-A. Availing of Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES)

    • About the Service – Created under R.A. 7323 enacted on March 30, 1992, the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) aims to help poor but deserving students and out-of-school youth in pursuing their education by encouraging employment during summer vacation, and hopefully during semestral and or Christmas vacations, to provide income to finance/augment/subsidize students school need. Participants in this program are assigned to work in the different department and government institution with a minimum of 15 but not more than 45 days work duration with entitlement of a minimum wage, of which 60% is paid by the provincial government and 40% is paid by the Department of Labor and Employment.
    • Who May Avail of the Service
      Students and out-of-school youth applying under this program must meet the following qualifications:
      • 15 to 25 years old
      • enrolled during the present school year/semester immediately preceding the summer vacation or a dropout who intends to enroll again
      • parents’ net income after tax does not exceed P 36,000.00 per annum
      • no failing grades
    • Requirements:
      • Duly filled Registration form 01 (3 copies) with ID pictures attached
      • Birth or baptismal certificate to attest the student-applicant’s age
      • Any of the following to attest to the student-applicant’s rating:
        • Form 138
        • Certification by the School Registrar that the students has passed during the previous semester or school year
        • Certified true copy of the student’s class card where the passing grade could be determined
      • Any of the following to attest to the student’s family income:
        • Latest Income Tax Return of the parents
        • Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Certification that the parents do not file Tax Returns
        • Certification from the employer that parent of the applicant has been displaced or to be displaced.

    III. Issuance of Certifications and Other Assessment Documents

    • About the Service – Tax Declaration serves as the permanent record of every real property unit (land building and machineries). A certified true /photo copy of tax declaration sand instruments or certification of no declared property, no-improvement or property holdings maybe requested from the Office of the Provincial Assessor.
