Governor Joseph Cua has lifted the suspension of classes after two months of recovery efforts since Super Typhoon Rolly hit Catanduanes on Nov. 1, 2020.
Modular classes shall resume on Monday, January 11, 2021, according to Executive Order (EO) 001, s. 2021.
“[T]he Province has slowly recovered, with the restoration of road access, power, communications, and repair of facilities in some areas, allowing for the resumption of module reproduction and distribution;” the order stated.
A previous order, EO No. 51, s. 2020, imposed the suspension of classes due to significant damage to school buildings and other learning facilities, with unstable power supply and unpassable roads.
