VIRAC, Catanduanes (March 28, 2019) – Department heads from of the Provincial Capitol offices convened with Acting Gov. Shirley A. Abundo today to prep up the 8th World Bank Implementation Support Mission on May 29-June 1, 2019 .
During discussion, Engr. Elsie B. Reyes, Department Head of Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO), emphasized the significance of familiarizing oneself with the concerns specified to the group of people responsible for a certain task.
“So siguro kaipuhan kita ngunyan na ma-orient kita kung ano ang satuyang participation sa aga,” she added
Moreover, a devised schedule of activities will be looked into during the said support mission.
Members of the formulated I-Build and I-Reap Teams of the Philippine Rural Development Project (PDRP) along with the World Bank (WB) and Provincial Capitol department heads will set off an organized planned visits in Caramoran, Bato and Panganiban on May 29 and 30.
The teams would also be meeting with the Caramoran SP Beneficiaries, Pinoy Lingap Damayan Multipurpose Coop (PLDC) and Panganiban Fisherfolk Association (PFA) to discuss further subproject development details.
Meanwhile, a consultation meeting by the I-Plan team with Catanduanes State University (CSU) on June 1 will take light on the presentation of the initial result of the Mangrove Resource Mapping and Stakeholder’s Engagement for Sustainable Crab Industry Development in Catanduanes.
The 8th World Bank Implementation Support Mission focuses on the upgrade in abaca production, protection and conservation of aquatic resources, and secure a better livelihood for indigent people.
