After Kier Alvin Manlangit of basketball secondary had received offer from Ateneo de Naga University and University of Sto. Tomas – Legazpi, another opportunity has opened to an elementary rookie baller.

Dranreb T. Gianan, who scored 28 points in his debut game against Masbate Province, gets offer from Dela Salle-Zobel for his high school years which will start next school year.

The 12 year old, 5’11 baller and grade 6 pupil from Mavil Elementary School, Bagamanoc, Catanduanes shared that he started playing the game since kindergarten when his father handed him a basket ball.

Dranreb said he was grateful when Mr. Ferdinand Pelagio became a teacher in their school because he was the one who recommended him to Mr. George Villacorta, the coach of basketball team in Zone III.

Dranreb also shared that a basketball scout for Dela Salle-Zobel has already talked to his mother offering him a basketball scholarship. The plan is they will go to Manila at the end of this school year.

Dranreb is the youngest son of Mr. Bernard Gianan, a driver and Mrs. Eva Gianan, an elementary teacher of Mavil Elementary School.
